I’ve been having a love affair with loungewear for some time now.
It started at around the age of fourteen, seven years back now- and Juicy Couture tracksuits were the in-thing. The soft velvet, the pastel shades, the ‘Juicy’ butt embroidery and then…. the price tag (dammit). But Paris Hilton, J-Lo and the Pussycat Dolls were wearing them, so a girl can dream right?! Then came the ‘Kim K Glam Era’, and if you weren’t ‘all dressed up with nowhere to go’ in an Herve Leger skintight bodycon dress and full glam- then who even were you?!
Shout out to the likes of Rihanna, Kylie Jenner and Miss Pap- who have made loungewear acceptable again. We can all now leave the house, make-up free, pineapple hair in tact and head to toe in jersey without a care in the world (yay!).
I’ve blogged my fair share of street-style looks here over the six months I’ve had my blog.
They’re fun to style, totally wearable and generally affordable- however I think it might be time to mix it up.
I’m a glam girl at heart. I love dressing up, hair and make up and at only 5’3- I kinda have to be into heels. So with my next post comes ‘The Glam Series’- four totally different, glamorous, night-out and evening wear inspired looks. Expect suede, glitter, satin, bodycon and lace. And heels, tons of heels- only heels.
So I thought- why not go out with a jersey-inspired-bang, and blog a quick look from one of my very favourite loungewear designers Maniere De Voir. Their pieces are well fitted, high quality and totally unique- and I just can’t get enough of their tracksuits!
This tie waist t-shirt dress is perfect for days you want to be comfortable, and look effortless- but not quite full Stormzy. It looks super cute with trainers, or sock boots- and pair a cute rucksack, scoop your hair into a high pony and you’re good to go. Effortless.
